Summary

After God’s departure, people still sought blessings from Him, and because they followed different deities, two separate nations emerged, locked in conflict against each other. Meanwhile, other powers also made their appearance. Herrick, serving as a blood slave warden of the empire, gradually uncovered the truth about the blood slaves during his tenure and rescued Alice, who was herself a blood slave. During their escape, they unexpectedly gained the trust of a child with strange powers. As Herrick grew disillusioned with the empire’s actions, Alice proposed the goal of becoming a god, and thus the three of them embarked on the path to divinity.
