Imagine that you're the new kid in school! You talk to a few people, but you havent made any new friends yet. Suddenly, you see this quiet kid who's all alone, sitting in a corner. You ask someone if he knows that person, and why are they alone.... And they basically tell you that he's/she's someone who has:
-Been in the school for a few years
-Has weird rumors going on around them
-A suck up to certain teachers, yet they may or may not have good grades
-Overall doesn't seem to have a good reputation in school
Okay, seeing this person all alone makes you feel a bit of sympathy towards them. You haven't actually made any friends yet, so it wouldn't hurt to talk to that person. They, can't be that bad... Right? WRONG. If you ACTUALLY want to have a decent social life in school for once, DO NOT under any circumstances talk to THAT kid. Just like how homeless people end up in the streets for a reason, the same applies to how kids like them end up all alone. In fact, people like them aren't necessarily quiet; they can be desperately sociable.
So... Okay, you might be thinking "But Stagnant, isn't that a bit cruel? Why not give them a chance?" (•̀__•́)و LISTEN HERE... I am talking about personal experience here. There are TWO types of these sort of people.
1. They turn out to be nasty as the rumors said. As you two became friends, you see that she/he has a habit of lying, and before you even noticed, that kid has been manipulating you from the start.
2. They turn out to be a good person, and they've been misunderstood the entire time!... But now everyone in school avoids and dislikes you, and you have some nasty rumors about yourself.
If you're an introvert, and you simply want to hang out with quiet people, then hang out with the other introverts/geeks. But DO NOT try hanging out with that one weirdo sitting in the back. It's just not worth the gamble. (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)
